Meditation Classes in Darlington and Saltburn
with
Venerable Kelsang Chödor
These classes run every week from w/c 7th January - 25th July except for a two week break for Easter - you're welcome to join at any time.
Current Topic for both classes
Beginning 2nd April we will be looking at how to live a very meaningful and compassionate life by following the practice of the Bodhisattva path. These include giving, moral discipline, patience, virtuous effort, concentration and wisdom. As well as making our life meaningful, these practices will support our meditation practice and bring great benefit to others. A Bodhisattva is a friend of the world who motivated by compassion, seeks enlightenment or full awakening to benefit all living beings.

These classes are part of
our 'General Programme' and consist of guided meditations, a short talk and
discussion followed by refreshments. These classes provide a wide-ranging
introduction to meditation - the emphasis being on how to start and maintain a
personal meditation practice and how to integrate this into our daily life.
Topics may cover how to overcome stress and anger, improving relationships and
increasing our confidence and mental well-being.
You
are welcome to drop-in at any time. Don't worry if you
miss a few classes!
